PowerPoint Lesson Plans

I thought that everyone did a fantastic job with the lesson plans this past week. They all were fun and inter-active. I was a little concerned at first on how I would use PowerPoint in the classroom without lecturing; that is all I have ever seen it used for. I especially liked how several people used it when specifically teaching how to write a letter and the points involved.

  1. there are lots of things you can use powerpoint for...its easy to think about using it to lecture, but there is still a lot you can do with it...it just takes some thinking. I really liked the idea of playing a review game, where yo can jump around the questions like we did with Copyright Jeopardy.

  2. I agree also in the aspect of trying to involve students through the use of powerpoint. I was having trouble with that myself. But it is just simply question and answer, and I still feel that is not enough involvement. If one could fit in a hand's on activity like you did, it would make it more interesting. Smartboard is a fantastic interactive tool, and prefer it much more than powerpoint.
