I'm not going to lie, I was quite skeptic about Diigo when I first learned about the social bookmarking project. I was confused at first with the tool bar when I downloaded it but it really has been helpful. I am still learning the naviagtions of it. I am currently working on my N-6 Science Unit and it has made my life so much easier! I wish I had had it sooner for other past projects. I am currently in the process of pulling everything I had bookmarked and converting it to Diigo. This is definitely something I will continue to use and keep updated for the classroom!
I definitely agree that using a bookmarking site such as Diigo is very useful and efficient in having those websites in one location (and at your fingertips). Bookmarking the sites is relatively easy, what users have to beware of are the ways in which they tag the sites that they are adding...which is one of the helpful hints that Prof. Mislevy advised the class of at the outset. The only problem that I have with Diigo is this: Is there a way that I can view my sites in alphabetical order rather than by the chronological order in which I added them?
ReplyDeleteI wish i had new about Diigo sooner as well. I have found so many excellent sites in the past four years that I wish I still had. I used to bookmark all my pages, but somehow or another they all ended up disappearing or getting erased. I am hoping this is the last time I have to track all these web pages down
